Guy Guenthner is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He grew up in Wayzata, MN before attending Boston College, where he graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Biology and minor concentration in Medical Humanities, Health and Culture. Guy has completed a research internship at the Orthopaedic Trauma Institute at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital as well as research with the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and TRIA Orthopedics. His research experiences focus on evaluating surgical management of hip fractures and investigating metrics for determining quality-of-life after arthroplasty. He has also presented research on intraoperative orthopaedic surgeon radiation. Guy will be applying for residency in orthopaedic surgery and hopes to continue to contribute to orthopaedics research.
